JPG is the classic format for photos, PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, and WebP produces very small files for websites. When you convert image files to WebP, pages load faster; when you convert to PNG, screenshots stay crisp. The quality setting lets you decide between smaller files and the best possible look.

Several results are delivered together as a ZIP archive. All pictures are processed on our servers in Germany, held in memory only and deleted after the download, at the latest after an hour. Questions and answers

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WebP keep transparent areas. JPG cannot be transparent, so those areas become white.

Which quality should I choose?

90 is a good balance. Lower values make smaller files with visible loss. PNG is always lossless.

Are photo details like GPS kept?

No. Converted images do not contain camera or location data.

Which input formats work?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, TIFF, AVIF and SVG. Animated GIFs and multi-page TIFFs use the first frame or page. iPhone HEIC photos are not supported yet; set the camera to “Most Compatible” or share the photo as JPG.

How do I convert images for a website to WebP?
