Presentations often look different on another computer: fonts are missing, animations jump and layouts shift. A PDF is the right format for handouts, for sending slides to participants and for archiving a talk. When you convert PowerPoint to PDF, each slide is one page, so the file is easy to print or to read on a phone. Animations and transitions are not part of a PDF, which is exactly why it is safe to share.

The conversion from PowerPoint to PDF runs on LibreOffice on our own servers in Germany. Your presentation is held in memory only and deleted after the download, at the latest after an hour. If the PDF is too large for email because of big pictures, you can shrink it afterwards with our tool to compress PDF files. That makes PowerPoint to PDF a good last step before every talk.

Questions and answers

Will animations be kept?

No. A PDF shows each slide as a still page, so animations and transitions are not included.

Are my files stored?

No. Your files are processed in memory on our servers in Germany. Nothing is written to disk, and everything is discarded as soon as your result has been sent to you.

Will fonts look the same?

If a presentation uses fonts that are not installed on our server, they are replaced and the layout can differ slightly.

Can I convert Keynote presentations?

Yes. Keynote files (.key) are accepted like PowerPoint files and turned into a PDF with one page per slide. Animations are not part of a PDF.

How do I convert a PowerPoint presentation to PDF for sending?
