Long web addresses are awkward: they break in e-mails, look untidy on printed paper and are hard to type from a poster. Our short link generator turns any address into a short Wandlix link such as wandlix.io/aB3dE7x. You paste the long address, choose how long the link should live and copy the result. The same short link generator can show a QR code of the new link, so it works on flyers and screens.
Short links are meant for sharing, not for hiding where a link leads. That is why the short link generator only accepts http and https addresses, refuses addresses with embedded user names, IP addresses and other link shorteners, and lets us disable links that are misused. Without an account a link stays valid for up to 30 days. A free account allows longer periods, custom names such as wandlix.io/my-offer, a list of your links and a click counter per link. With an account you can also change the target of a short link later, which turns its QR code into a dynamic QR code that you never have to reprint.
The click counter only counts visits. We do not store IP addresses or the time of single clicks, and no file ever goes through a short link. Everything runs on our own servers in Germany. The short link generator also works through our API, so shops and apps can create links automatically. When a link expires, visitors see a clear notice instead of an error.

Questions about short links
How long does a short link work?
As long as you chose: 1, 7 or 30 days without an account, up to unlimited with an account. After that it shows a clear notice instead of redirecting.
What do you store?
Only the target address and the dates. The click counter counts visits without storing who clicked, IP addresses or times of single clicks. Short links do not contain files.
Which addresses are refused?
Only http and https addresses are accepted. We refuse addresses with a user name in them, IP addresses, other link shorteners and everything on our block list. Links that are reported or misused are disabled.
Is there a preview before the redirect?
No, the link redirects at once. Please only share short links you trust and report misuse to us.
Can I change the target later?
Yes, with a free account. Open the list of your links, choose “Change target” and enter the new address. The short link and every QR code printed from it stay the same.
