Internet speed test for the office

How good is your line really? Measure download, upload and latency and see at once whether it is enough for video calls, cloud files and large uploads for your team.

The test transfers about 60 MB of random data in each run and stores nothing. On a mobile connection this uses part of your data volume.

Internet speed test for offices and teams

A normal internet speed test shows a number and leaves you alone with it. Is 80 Mbit/s enough for twenty people? What do video calls need? This internet speed test measures download, upload, response time and fluctuation and turns them into an answer for your office: you choose how many people use the line at the same time and see at once whether video calls, cloud files and large uploads will work well, only just or not at all.

The internet speed test runs in your browser against our own server in Germany. It sends random data in both directions over several parallel connections, measures the response time with many small requests and ignores the first request that opens the connection. A quick run takes less than half a minute, a thorough run a little longer. Nothing is stored, no account is needed and the test costs nothing. The last results stay in your browser so that you can compare them, for example before and after a change of provider.

Please treat the result as what it is: the quality of the way to one server in Germany, measured from your device. Wi-Fi, other users on the line and VPNs matter, so repeat the internet speed test at different times and, if possible, with a cable. Packet loss cannot be measured in a browser. The rule of thumb behind the verdict is shown under the result, so you can judge it for your own team.

Questions about the speed test

What exactly is measured?

The connection between your device and our server in Germany: response time and its fluctuation, download and upload with several parallel connections. Packet loss cannot be measured in a browser.

Why does the result differ from other speed tests?

Every test measures the way to its own server. Wi-Fi, other devices on the line, VPNs and the distance to the server change the result. For a reliable picture, test several times and with a cable.

Is anything stored?

No files and no results. The test only sends random data that is discarded at once. Your last results are kept in your own browser and can be cleared.

Why is there a daily limit?

So that the test cannot be used to pump data. Each connection has a generous daily volume, enough for several tests.
