Convert Word to PDF online

A PDF looks the same on every device, which makes it the right format for applications, offers and contracts. This tool converts Word to PDF: upload DOCX, DOC, ODT or RTF files and download a PDF that keeps fonts, tables, images and page breaks. You can convert up to five documents at once without installing Word or any plugin. It is the simplest way to turn Word to PDF for a job application.

The conversion from Word to PDF is done by LibreOffice running on our own servers in Germany, which handles current and older document formats reliably. For the best result use common fonts and embed your images inside the document. Complex layouts with unusual fonts may look slightly different, so check the PDF once before you send it.

Your Word file is held in memory only, never written to disk, and deleted after the download, at the latest after an hour. No external service ever sees the document. After you convert Word to PDF you can add a password with our protect tool or compress the file if it is too large for email.

Questions and answers

Will the layout stay the same?

In most cases yes. If a document uses fonts that are not installed on our server, they are replaced and line breaks can differ slightly.

Are my documents stored?

No. Your files are processed in memory on our servers in Germany. Nothing is written to disk, and everything is discarded as soon as your result has been sent to you.

Are macros executed?

No. Macros are not run during conversion.

Does it work with Apple Pages?

Yes. Pages files (.pages) can be added like Word files and are turned into a PDF. Complex Pages layouts may look slightly different, so check the PDF once.

How do I convert a DOCX file to PDF online without signing up?
